MedTech One World Students presents at Symposium on Sustainable Development in Africa

Last 16th November the symposium Sustainable Development in Africa was held in the Faculty of Mechanics at the TUM. There, the TUM’s commitment to Africa was presented through different speeches of experts.

As it was stated, Africa and Europe need fair political and economic cooperation on both sides. Technology and education initiatives can help to connect Africa and our university. For the TUM, the African continent offers future challenges and the aim is to face them with its manifold competences. As our university is already connected with Africa in a wide variety of research and teaching topics, it can make a significant contribution to sustainable development in this continent.

We had the opportunity of introducing our projects in the poster presentation. Specifically, the guests could learn about the different versions of the ankle prosthesis, which were developed with accessible production technologies in Ethiopia.
